Announcement: Book launch on the 12th September 2010

West London Somaliland Community, in collaboration with REDSEA-ONLINE.COM Cultural Foundation and Kayd Somali Arts and Culture, is pleased to invite you to the UK launch of “Adduun iyo taladii”, the latest book of Curisyo series, by Rashiid Sheekh Cabdillaahi Xaaji Axmed. Join a conversation featuring with Rashiid Gadhwayne, as he will discuss with the publisher, Jama Musse Jama, on this collection of essays on citizenship. After the talk, the author will be available for book signing. Adduun Iyo Taladii is the latest, and fourth book, in the “Curisyo” series of books,  containing essays which cover a ranging set of topics, yet share the spirit of citizenship. ‘Gadhweyne’ is a scholar, social scientist, and literary critic, and his first book touches the essence of citizenship. No other book is more at home in the Curiso Series than the work of Rashiid Sheekh Cabdillaahi ‘Gadhwayne’. In this collection of essays he deals with different aspects of citizenship, which are interconnected and fully complement each other. This book enlightens the reader on various subjects with vital impacts on the building blocks of each society by exploring the themes such as freedom, tolerance, righteousness, equality, and their true normative, ethical, deep moral meaning in the Somali context. It is a work which is inspired by his great sense of social responsibility.
