Firstly, I have to speak well of Mr Asiya on the irrational and illogical tone of her piece (Is the Concept of democracy completely misunderstood by Kulmiye) which recently appeared on hadhwanaagnews website. In the main, Asiya was not able to make understandable her point. 

How ever if the tone of her missive is thoughtful and logical, I regret to say that the logic and plunge of her argument is not only facial and fake, but devoid of any value. 

Ms. Asiya engages in the age old artifice of the propagandist- build straw hut in order to   demolish it and in the process while ‘exposing’ its flimsy nature. 

To understand real democracy, you need to understand first kulimiye party. Kulmiye Party was the second party in Somaliland that held successfully its convention in hargeysa on. One of the aspiring things that came out from that convention was the real democracy that exists inside the party and how fairly, that all candidates competed. More importantly, Kulmiye also held its central committee conference in buro, which started very well at the beginning, though there had been disputes among the delegates but am sure that kulmiye will overcome their internal dispute. 

The functioning democracy that kulmiye party has established is a reflection of their political maturity and their deep commitment in Somaliland sovereignty 

Ms. Asiya Completely ignores the critical and defining facts underlying Siilaanyo’s Statesman and honest to Somaliland. Firstly Mr. Siilaanyo is one few experienced economists that Somaliland has ever produced. He was the longest serving chairman of SNM.  He was one of the active ministers worked closely to Marhuum Egal’s government. He also was one of the leading persons that took part the major reconciliation conferences as well as other reconciliation conferences in Somaliland. 
 

I prefer not to comment on the rest of Asiya’s article since it’s mainly confined to character assassination to Ahmed Siilaanyo. I will only state while the achievements and credentials of Mr. Ahmed Siilaanyo is a matter of public record, Ms Asiya’s lack of knowledge of Somaliland politics is also a matter of public record.
